We've Been Quiet… But Busy! Here’s What’s Been Happening Behind the Scenes

Hello guests of Dram of Destiny — and a huge welcome to all our new supporters!
You might have noticed it’s been a little quiet on the blog front since April, but trust us… that doesn’t mean we’ve been sitting still. In fact, we’ve been out in the wild, face to face with the people that matter most — you.

Over the past few months, the team behind Dram of Destiny ( Barrel & Brand Ltd) have been travelling across Scotland and the wider UK, attending whisky festivals, events, and gatherings, sharing our vision, building excitement, and most importantly…
👉 Registering hundreds of guests in person for what we’re calling Scotland’s most ambitious night of culture, whisky, and unity.
And the response?
Overwhelming. Humbling. Electric.
Every time we spoke to someone about our dream to host:
The world’s largest Burns Supper
The world’s largest in-person whisky tasting
All in support of the incredible My Name’5 Doddie Foundation—we saw eyes light up, people nod in approval, and friends tag friends saying “We HAVE to go to this.”
🎯 The New Venue: Dram of Destiny Comes to Edinburgh
While we were hoping to host this historic event at the SEC Glasgow, securing a suitable date proved impossible. But in true Scottish fashion, we found a new path…
We’re thrilled to announce that Dram of Destiny is now provisionally booked in for:
📍The Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston – Edinburgh
📅 Saturday 30th January 2027

Just minutes from Edinburgh Airport, the new venue opens up amazing possibilities for both local and international guests. And the planning is now back in full swing!
🔥 The Mission Remains the Same
We’re still aiming to welcome 2,500 guests for a fully catered three-course Burns Supper, a guided whisky tasting of three world-class drams, and an evening of music, poetry, and storytelling that you’ll never forget.
We’re not selling tickets just yet — we’re still gathering registrations of interest to build the business case and unlock the backing we need to make this a reality.
So if you’re already registered — THANK YOU.
If not, it only takes a few seconds to sign up at www.dramofdestiny.com/register and please, help us spread the word by sharing this far and wide. There are only 2500 places available and 523 have already been allocated, we firmly believe this will snowball as we reveal more details.
💙 Why It Matters
This is more than just a party. This is a celebration of everything Scotland stands for — our culture, our people, our pride (our Whisky) — and a chance to raise serious funds for a cause that touches so many lives: Motor Neurone Disease (MND). All proceeds after costs will be donated to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
Stay tuned — we’ve got lots more to share soon, including:
Partner announcements
Entertainment line-up
Whisky highlights
And some very special surprises...
Until then, from the bottom of our drams — thank you. We’re building something unforgettable together.
