Welcome to the official website for A Dram of Destiny, a one-of-a-kind Burns Supper and whisky tasting event proposed at being held at the SEC Glasgow on Saturday, 30 January 2027. These Terms and Conditions apply to all users of this website and attendees of the event. By purchasing a ticket or using this website, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Event Organiser
A Dram of Destiny is a not-for-profit event organised by Barrel & Brand Ltd, with all proceeds (after costs) donated to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation. We reserve the right to make changes to event details where necessary, provided it does not significantly alter the nature of the experience.

🥘 Includes: 3-course Burns Supper, entertainment, world record whisky tasting experience
We reserve the right to adjust the schedule, menu, entertainment, and other elements of the event as required.
3. Ticket Sales

🎟️ Tickets are sold per seat or per table (10 seats) and can be purchased online once tickets are released.

🪑 Tables are sold in tiered pricing levels based on proximity to the stage.

🧑🤝🧑 Group bookings are encouraged.

🎫 A valid ticket is required for entry to the event.

🪪 You must be 18 years or older to attend and participate in the whisky tasting.
Tickets are issued electronically and must be presented on arrival (either printed or on a mobile device).
4. Refund Policy
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable, except in the following circumstances:

The event is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (full refund will be issued).

You notify us at least 30 days prior to the event with a valid reason and we are able to resell your ticket(s) — in this case, a partial or full refund may be issued.

In the event of a change of date, ticket holders will be offered the option to transfer their booking or request a full refund.
Please contact us at info@barrelandbrand.co.uk with refund or transfer requests. We will do our best to assist, but cannot guarantee replacements for late cancellations or no-shows.

6. Code of Conduct & Dress Code
In line with tradition this is a Black Tie event where frocks and kilts aren't just mandatory, small donatable fines may be imposed if guest aren't attired correctly. (This is a charity bash after all)
All guests are expected to conduct themselves with respect for others and in accordance with venue policies. The organisers reserve the right to remove any attendee behaving in a disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate manner.
7. Responsible Drinking
A Dram of Destiny promotes the responsible enjoyment of alcohol in accordance with Scottish licensing laws and best practice.

Attendees must be 18 years or over to participate in the event. Proof of age will be required at registration or bar service points under the challenge 25 system.

3 x measured 25ml drams of Whisky will be served as part of the official tasting.

Free tap water will be available throughout the evening.

Guests are encouraged to pace themselves and enjoy the tasting as a guided, cultural experience, not a means to excess.

Anyone who appears intoxicated may be refused service at the discretion of staff or the venue’s licensed operators.

Staff and security are trained in responsible service of alcohol and have a duty to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all guests.
We kindly remind guests that Scotland’s legal alcohol limit for driving is very low (22 micrograms per 100ml of breath). If you are driving to the event, we strongly recommend that you do not consume alcohol.
By purchasing a ticket, you agree to participate responsibly and in line with the guidance of our event staff and tasting hosts.
8. Accessibility
We are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible event for all guests. Please notify us in advance if you have specific access requirements or dietary needs.

9. Photography & Media
By attending the event, you consent to being photographed and filmed for promotional purposes, including but not limited to future marketing, social media, and press coverage. If you do not wish to appear in media, please notify the registration desk upon arrival. We actively encourage you to Instagram the hell out of the event.
10. Liability
The organisers accept no liability for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings during the event, except where caused by our negligence.
All guests participate in the whisky tasting at their own discretion. We encourage responsible enjoyment of alcohol.
